Due Cigni 1896 Walnut kitchen knives: traditional design

The kitchen knives from the Due Cigni 1896 collection were designed by Oreste Frati. In addition to being the owner of Fox Knives, he is a gifted designer. For the design of these knives, he drew inspiration from the design of classic European kitchen knives. You can tell he made it entirely his own, looking at the flowing lines of the walnut wood handle. The thin blade ensures that the knives weigh next to nothing and are easy to use. The knives are produced in Italy.

Features of Due Cigni's 1896 Walnut series

The Due Cigni 1896 Walnut collection offers huge variety! There are the standard kitchen knives such as a chef's knife, a bread knife, or a carving knife, among others, but also knives for specific cutting tasks such as a ham knife, boning knife, cheese knife and even a butcher's knife. There's something for everyone.

Due Cigni 1896 Walnut handle

The handle is made from dark walnut wood. It gives the knife its classic and stylish look and feel. The handle is nicely rounded and feels amazing in hand. The handle is secured to the full-tang blade with three rivets. To maintain the stunning colour of the walnut wood, and to not affect the sharpness of the blade, we recommend cleaning this knife by hand. Dry it after cleaning to prevent discolourations or tears and to make sure the wood doesn't warp. Regularly apply some mineral oil to the handle to maintain the shine of the wood.

Due Cigni 1896 Walnut blade

The blade is made from X50Cr15MOV stainless steel and has a smooth, razor-sharp edge. This type of steel is known for its toughness. In addition, you can also easily sharpen it yourself if it loses some of its sharpness over time. Lastly, this type of steel is highly resistant to stains and corrosion.
