Binoculars in all sizes

Binoculars are the most commonly used optical instruments for magnifying an object that is located far away. There are two types of binoculars: porro and roof prism. Roof prism binoculars are popular amongst bird watchers, travellers and hunters. These binoculars are compact and can handle dust and water. As such they are, however, a little more expensive. For water sports, porro binoculars are more practical. These binoculars are larger and heavier, but have a better depth of field. At Knivesandtools you will find binoculars with the following magnifications: 8x, 10x and 12x.

Monoculars for those who like to travel light

Monoculars are great not only because of their compact size, but also because, regardless of that size, you never have to compromise when it comes to image quality. You look through a monocular with one eye. The advantage is that, as such, it is a lot smaller than a pair of binoculars. As such you can easily take it with you in your pocket. The disadvantage is that you have no depth of field. Our range is comprised of monoculars with the following magnifications: 4.5x, 6x, 8x and 10x.

Spotting scopes for very long distances

If you want to look at something up close you need a spotting scope. A spotting scope is basically a cross between a monocular and a telescope. They are less practical than binoculars and monoculars, but they make up for that with their magnification factor and image quality. One usually uses a spotting scope in combination with a tripod to look at aeroplanes, game or birds. The spotting scopes in our range are enhanced with the following magnifications: 15-45x and 20-60x.
