## Diamond-Like-Carbon-coating


Like with other Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15 steel, which was sharpened according to the PEtec method. These knives, however, are completely black, with a non-reflective black DLC coating on the blade.  DLC-coating stands for Diamond-Like-Carbon-coating.  A carbon structure that is used in the aviation industry. So extremely strong.  The result is a blade that is well protected against scratches and acids. And, it is also amazing to look at!


## Non-slip handle


The handle is made from polyamide and is for 15% reinforced with fibreglass to make sure the material doesn't wear out. In addition, the non-slip honeycomb structure of the Hexagon Power Grip guarantees extreme control. An advantage for the user: even under hectic, wet or difficult working circumstances you will have enough grip over the knife. This knife won't easily slip from your hands. Even if your hands are wet. In addition, the fibreglass reinforced polyamide handle is maintenance-friendly. Win-win.
