Full description

The GiantMouse Ace Grand is a cool EDC pocket knife, designed by Jesper Voxnaes and Jens Ansø. The design is based on the sold-out GiantMouse GM5. With the Grand GiantMouse introduced a more EDC-friendly version of that knife. It didn't receive its name based on its size, even though it is not really small. Its name is based on the Grand Hotel in Nüremberg where the people from GiantMouse sleep when they visit the city for the IWA convention.

Expectations

When I first received it felt somewhat larger than what I was expecting. Now I can't go back, every other knife I own is slightly smaller and feels weird. The size factor and comfort are spot on. The quality of the blade is also excellent, I've used it for carving, splitting wood, slicing thick steaks.... The red handle provides a good grip and it has the added benefit that the more you use it, the better it looks... probably by the oils soaked from your skin. I personally removed the deep pocket clip, it was a bit too sturdy and made the handle less ergonomic when grabbing the knife.
