The Edge Pro Matrix 1700 diamond sharpening stone is a resin-bound sharpening stone. This means that the diamond particles in the sharpening stone are embedded in a layer of synthetic resin. During sharpening, new diamond particles are exposed each time, so the stone will always give the same results, both in terms of sharpness and speed.
