The **Civivi Elementum Slip Joint** is a compact EDC slipjoint pocket knife. With its compact size and rounded shape, it's a true friend to all! This knife is a variant of the very popular Civivi Elementum. As the name implies, the Civivi Elementum Slip Joint is equipped with a slipjoint-mechanism. This gives the knife a traditional touch and makes it legal to carry in many places.



The Civivi Elementum Slip Joint C18062AJ-DS1 Damascus, Twill Carbon, slipjoint pocket knife is a cool EDC knife in the colour black. With its blade length of 7.5 cm, this knife is suitable for daily cutting tasks. For example, opening boxes, peeling an apple, the odd job around the house: this pocket knife can do it all.



You open the Civivi with two hands. To make this easier, there's a nail nick which gives you a little extra grip using your fingernail. This pocket knife is not equipped with a full lock, only with a slipjoint mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from snapping shut during normal use. However, if you press on the spine of the blade, the knife will shut.



## Damascus blade
The blade of this Civivi Elementum is made from damascus steel. It's beautiful and incredibly stylish, but also designed for use. Damascus is created by welding different types of steel together and folding them multiple times, all at very high temperatures and with exceptional craftsmanship. This steel combines ancient techniques with modern skill. The manufacturer doesn’t provide much information about the type of steel, so we can't say with certainty how corrosion-resistant this particular steel is. Therefore, it’s advisable to keep the blade clean and regularly apply a few drops of oil. It wouldn't hurt to apply that piece of advice to your other knives too.



## Carbon-fibre handle

The handle of this Civivi Elementum Slip Joint C18062AJ-DS1 Damascus, Twill Carbon, slipjoint pocket knife is made of carbon fibre, and measures 10.3 cm in length. Carbon fibre is an incredibly strong material. For the handles of pocket knives, carbon fibre sheet material is used. The carbon fibres, often first woven, are pressed into a strong resin under high pressure. The result is a super strong, lightweight material. It is no coincidence that this type of carbon fibre is also very popular in the construction of sports cars and racing cars, as well as in the aerospace industry.
