This **Buck 110 Slim EDC** is a slim, light-weight version of the famous Buck 110 Folding Hunter. This Slim 110 was designed for those who carry a knife on a daily basis. You can easily open it with one hand, and it is enhanced with a pocket clip to make sure it will always stay in place in your pocket.



The contours of the Buck 110 Slim are the same as those of the normal 110 Folding Hunter. The use of materials and the finishes, however, are different. The handle, for instance, is made from light-weight FRN. This is an extremely strong type of plastic. Quite the change when compared to the heavy brass, because the Buck 110 Slim only weighs 85 grams. The blade is made from 420HC. Simply because there is nothing wrong with it. A great type of steel, especially when it is hardened according to the BOS recipe, like this knife is. Buck, however, did change the finish. The blade on the Buck 110 Slim is enhanced with a stonewashed finish. This means that it was placed in a rotating drum filled with stones, leaving tiny scratches on the blade. So much it makes the blade look polished. As a result traces of use will hardly stand out.



You open the blade with the double thumb studs. When opened a solid backlock locks the blade. As such it will never accidentally close. The pocket clip can be placed on both sides of the handle and opening and closing the knife can easily be done by left and right-handed users. As such this knife is a real friend to all.

De buck 110 slim select in rood vind ik een prettig mes welke fijn in de hand lig.Maar ik vraag me af of dit wel een EDC mes is  door zijn lemmet van 9 cm.
Wat ik me dan ook af vraag is of ik geen problemen krijg met de autoriteiten
indien ik dit mes in de publieke ruimte ga gebruiken om bijvoorbeeld een stukje fruit te schillen. Of een andere EDC activiteit in de genoemde publieke ruimte. Hopelijk schrik ik mensen in de publieke ruimte niet af als ik dit mes daadwerkelijk ga gebruiken  voor eerder genoemde activiteiten. Ik zal dit moeten gaan uitproberen. Want het blijft natuurlijk een forse folder knife.
Ik ben er nog niet uit of ik dit mes weer zou gaan aanschaffen.

Ik ga sparen voor de standaard Buck 110 met ebbenhout handvatten. Niet om deze dagdagelijks te gebruiken maar alleen voor de "heb". Het lijkt me dat de Buck 110 géén EDC mes maar meer een werkmes welke er wel prachtig uit ziet.
Het klinkt misschien wat  puberaal maar om iets moois in huis te hebben waar je "kwijlend" naar kunt kijken is ook wat waard.
Ik denk dat het een goede stap van Buck is geweest om de 110 &112 in de slim versie uit te brengen.

Als Geschenk für meinen Vater nach langer Überlegung was es werden solle eine schöne Wahl. Als jemand der sich viel mit Messern beschäftigt steht mir jedoch die unschöne Kante am Backlock wie ein Dorn im Auge. Verarbeitung gut, bis auf die Griffschalen. Diese erscheinen mir (wie viele Kunststoffe) schlichtweg zu billig und das Geräusch beim anschnipsen der Griffschalen mit dem Finger lassen nur wenig Hoffnung auf Bruchsicherheit. 

Für ein Messer unter 50 € jedoch sehr gut gelungen und in Anbetracht des Preises sehr gut. Wer ein Messer mit dieser Klingenqualität und anderen Griffschalen will, muss halt tiefer ins Portmonee  greifen. Klare Kaufempfehlung unter Beachtung des Verstoßens gegen §42a WaffG.
