The **Spyderco Smock** is a unique Spyderco knife with a remarkable locking mechanism. The Smock is enhanced with what people call a button-lock. This mechanism is, in terms of function, fairly similar to a compression lock. The difference, however, can be found in the button. It is mounted to the compression-lock and is sticking through the handle. If you want to close the Smock you simply push the button to make sure the compression lock unlocks. As such you don't have to put your fingers in between the handle like with the Paramilitary 2. As a result the Smock can safely be closed without you having to worry about accidentally touching the edge.

 Another interesting detail is the flipper. When you place the knife flat on the table while closed it sticks out in the front, unlike many normal flippers which stick out to the side. As such the flipper is hidden inside the handle when opened. It really enabled Spyderco to keep the smock very slim. The S30V steel wharncliffe style blade is enhanced with a hollow-grind and is razor-sharp upon delivery.

 The handle is made from a laminate of G10 and a thin layer of carbon fibre. As a result the Smock looks very chic. This knife is also great as a modern gentleman's knife.

Hat meine höchste Empfehlung

Ontzettend mooi soepellopend mes. Een van de meest fidget vriendelijke spyderco's. Spydie flick, spyderhole en de front flipper werken perfect! In combinatie met de button lock ook veilig voor de vingertjes. (Het is niet echt een button lock maar een omgekeerde compression lock met een knop erop) Mooi hol geslepen lemmet, gewoon een heel fijn mes!
Enige nadeel is de clip, die is niet low carry. Daar heb ik een Lynch clip voor besteld.
@Leuk weetje: Spyderco gaat zijn clip niet verbeteren want er zijn hele families die rond komen van het maken van alternatieve clips. Dat wil spyderco hun niet afnemen. Dat kan ik wel waarderen.

Zeer mooie uitgave, dit prachtstuk is echt een must in je collectie.
Komt razerblade scherp uit de box de compression-lock button lock zeer mooie oplossing en super sterke lockup van de blade.
Goed te gebruiken als een edc gentleman mes.
Er is ook op FB een Kevin Smock community.
Het mes werkt perfect met front-flipper en natuurlijk de Spyde-flick daar open je hem razend snel mee.
Mooi mes voor een goede prijs en verhouding en top staal.
