You can open the Folsom using the triangular thumb hole which works perfectly with one hand. Open it and the CTS-BD1 steel will show itself. Stainless and American: that is all you need to know. The handle is made from G10, a type of composite material with a perfect weight-strength ratio. As a result the Folsom weighs a perfect 95 grams.


Bright green accents are a part of The James Brand style. As such it won’t surprise you to see this specific colour on the back spacer which separates the handles.


However, the elegant James design has not only been applied to the knife itself. Just look at the box it comes in: perfect in all its simplicity.
