Full description

The Spyderco UK Pen Knife C94PGR is a lightweight pocket knife, designed for the British market and the legislation that applies there. This means that it cannot contain a lock and cannot be too big. Within these limits Spyderco was able to create a stunning knife. The lack of a lock is compensated by the clear click when the knife opens. Halfway through closing the knife you once again hear a clear click. The index finger falls into the curve of the blade and handle. If the blade accidentally closes it is stopped by your finger which decreases the chances of accidents.

The knife itself is excellent, smooth operating (because of metal-on-plastic contact), good satin finish, good factory edge, no burrs, well sharpened and equally on both sides. The plastic handles are not as bendy as the Bemchmade's Bugout. Sits great in my medium-small hands. The only thing I don't really like is the half stop, which I was aware of while I was purchasing the knife, but I think I'll get used to it. Great medium-little EDC and swimming/rescue knife, good deep carry pocket clip. The first impressions are awesome, the long term use will prove it's quality and I hope it'll pay up it's price. It's kind of expensive, but as a USA made knife imported in Europe, it's not that bad. I recommend it for now.

Living in the U.K. means that legal carry knives restrict your choices. Spyderco have a large range using the superb Japanese LC200N rustless steel. This UK penknife has no lock, but the slip joint is very secure as in the description above and I have not had any problems with it closing prematurely. Construction seems excellent. It is light to carry and the blade is very sharp. For users in the UK or visiting, this is a top end choice and highly recommended.
