The **Spyderco Ikuchi**

 **is an innovative pocket knife, designed by Paul Alexander. You are probably familiar with the name. Paul Alexander designed multiple amazing pocket knives such as the Spyderco Ouroboros, Sliverax and Parata. Paul Alexander has a background in mechanical engineering and has been a fan of knives his whole life. His designs can be recognized by the organic shapes and wavy lines in the design. As with most Santoku kitchen knives the edge is lower than the handle, and the handle is narrower at the pivot than at the pocket clip.** **The Ikuchi, however, is different from the three models mentioned above. Here we cannot find this Santoku shape. The Ikuchi is inspired by a traditional *toothpick* slipjoint. These knives have a slim design and a pointed tip, hence the name. The Ikuchi also has this. In comparison to these slipjoints the Ikuchi has Spyderco's famous compression lock. A reversed liner lock that works really well in a slim design. A remarkable detail is the flipper. This is a combination of a front flipper and a normal flipper. The flipper works as a normal flipper, but, like the front flipper, won't stick out to the sides. As such the knife maintains its slim design when opened and when closed.**

 **The Ikuchi has a S30V steel blade with a handle made from G10 enhanced with a layer of carbon fibre. The pocket clip is perfect for left and right-handed use. Because of the *deep-carry* clip and the slim design the Ikuchi can discreetly be carried. Perfect for the modern gentleman!**

Couteau magnifique 
Poids, forme, lame, tout est parfait et de qualité le manche est très agréable avec un toucher proche d'un micarta, le verrouillage "compression lock "(liner lock sur le dessus plutôt qu'en dessous) est efficace et la lame est très jolie et bien affûtée. 
Le trou rond classique des spyderco est présent,  pour l'affiliation mais l ouverture s'effectue via un crantage (comme un flipper) parfaitement intégré à la ligne du couteau.
En résulte un couteau élégant,  certainement le plus beau et seul spyderco que j'achèterai,  que vous pourrez sortir au restaurant sans passer pour un criminel et qui attirera le regard admirateur à coup sur 

Superbe gentleman folder, qualité et action irréprochable.

Un gentleman vraiment réussi de la part de Spyderco. L'ouverture est un poil différente de celle d'un flipper classique, mais reste très satisfaisante. La construction et les finitions font honneur à Taichung, et la lame et son émouture en font un slicer redoutable. Conquis!

Super elegant und super schneidfreudig.

Diese CQI Version ist überarbeitet und lässt sich leichter öffnen und schließen.

Dennoch habe ich es etwas neu eingestellt und de Compressionlock etwas gelockert.
Nun top, dennoch muss man wissen, wie man es flippt, sonst tut es irgendwann etwas weh.

Der Schliff ist vorne und hinten etwas Steiler als in der Mitte der Klinge, was für mich Vorteile hat! 
Das fällt aber nur gegens Licht gehalten auf, wenn man es hin und her schwenkt und genau auf die Fase achtet.

Würde es wieder kaufen! 
Bitte als Sprint Run mit M390 oder S110V :)
