The **Rick Hinderer XM18 3.5”** is a solid pocket knife that is made to be used. This is a top-quality work knife. The finish is simply perfect; grip wherever you might need it, and curved wherever possible, so it feels incredible in hand. When opened, the flipper keeps your fingers away from the edge. So during the more demanding tasks, you never have to worry about your fingers slipping and ending up on the blade.



The spear-point blade is made from CPM 20CV steel. This is a premium powder steel, which means it has a very fine structure. As a result, it retains its sharpness for a very long time. 20CV is also very corrosion-resistant. There is a finger choil (finger groove) between the flipper and the edge. This allows you to have more control over the blade during tasks that require more precision. The blade has a stunning finish. The stonewashed DLC coating looks half shiny, half stonewashed. This Skinny Slicer blade shape is nice and thin, and cuts really well.



You open the XM18 with the (double) thumb studs, or with the flipper. With a small wrist movement, you can quickly open the blade. The Teflon washers around the pivot ensure that it runs smoothly.


This is the newest generation of XM18s, with the Tri-Way pivot system. Ball bearings are mounted as standard, but it also comes with bronze and teflon washers so you can decide which bearings system you prefer. There is also a steel lockbar insert which makes the lock even more durable.



When opened, a solid frame lock ensures that the blade stays in place. A distinctive Hinderer feature is the *lockbar stabiliser*, which is a round disc on the side of the titanium handle. It ensures that you can't overstretch the lock. You can always keep the XM-18 handy thanks to the titanium pocket clip. This tip-down pocket clip is mounted on the right side, but you can use a Phillips screwdriver to easily turn it into a tip-up pocket clip.



The Rick Hinderer philosophy is: a knife is a tool that should work for you, never the other way around. That's why Hinderer knives are made to be used. This XM-18 is the perfect example.
