The **Reate Tribute** is a cool pocket knife, designed by Jack Chen. With a 7 cm blade it is relatively compact and 85 grams is a great weight for a pocket knife. As such you hardly notice it in your pocket. And yet it is a very cool pocket knife, with the excellent quality and finish Reate is known for.



## Show & Go!


The Reate Tribute is a combination between an EDC and a gentleman's knife. Wear it in your tailored suit to peel an apple for lunch or open a letter. You can, however, also use it for the more demanding tasks. Also great: this knife is incredibly affordable. Great if you actually intend to use the knife on a daily basis.



You open the Reate Tribute with the front flipper. You control it with your index finger or thumb. At first this might take some getting used to if you have never used a front flipper before. However, you quickly get the hang of it, and it is a great way of opening a knife. A solid framelock ensures that your fingers are safe.



## High-end materials


The handle is made from carbon fibre, with zirconium bolsters. A material you often see on custom pocket knives. As such this is a premium knife, especially for this price. The blade is made from M390 steel. Top-quality Austrian steel that is one of the most premium choices on the market today.

Fit, finish, overall quality are perfect. But! It offers only one opening method. May be this is my sample only — the blade retention is kind of strong. You need a rather deliberate force application to make it open. Perhaps, it needs to be broken in, I don’t know.
