The **Reate T4000** is a large, impressive pocket knife designed by Tashi Bharucha, a world-famous French knifemaker and designer. His knives usually have a futuristic, artistic look, and the T4000 is no exception. This knife clearly showcases the artistic lines and dramatic shapes that are so characteristic of Bharucha's design style.



The T4000 has lots of cool details. The handle, for instance. It is comprised of two titanium parts that are milled so that they form the handle when pushed together. As a result, there's no need for a backspacer or standoffs between the two scales. Not only is this difficult to produce, but the handle even looks like it's made from one piece of titanium. Just like an integral handle construction. The lanyard hole is another cool detail. Because of this construction of the two scales, Reate was able to subtly incorporate the lanyard hole into the spine of the handle. So unique! There are superb facets on the rest of the handle, ensuring a comfortable grip. The pocket clip is also worth mentioning. It is made from one piece of titanium and follows the lines of the handle nicely. This version of the Reate T4000 has a micarta inlay in the handle.



And last but not least, the blade. It's made of M390 steel, an Austrian super steel, which is one of the best high-end choices at the moment. M390 has truly excellent sharpness retention and corrosion resistance. In terms of finish, the grind is satin-finished and there is a stonewashed finish on the flat parts of the blade. Another great thing about the Reate is that the hollow grinds are done by hand. Which is unheard of for a production knife. This makes the T4000 truly unique. It's a calling card for what Reate is capable of.
