The **Real Steel Sidus Free** is a cool cooperation between Real Steel and Jakub Wieczorkiewicz from Poltergeist Works. This isn't the first time Real Steel cooperates with Poltergeist Works. Not surprising. Each cooperation results into a great knife!



You open the Real Steel Sidus with two hands. This is namely the 'Free' version of the Sidus. Easy to open with two hands and therefore legal in many places in Europe. When opened the blade is locked by a solid liner lock. Striking about the construction of the Real Steel Sidus is the choice of only two screws to keep the whole together. Because of the size of the screws they still offer enough stability in combination with the backspacer. Another great feature is that you can see straight through the screws, just like the customs of Poltergeist itself. These scales are rounded for a comfortable grip over the knife.

Some rust appears on the blade after first use !! 
This blade have a very poor surface treatment ! Very disappointed!!

Habe mir das Sidus als §42a konformes EDC-Taschenmesser bestellt. Der Micarta-Griff hat eine herrliche Struktur und Form, die Klinge kommt sehr bissig und das Messer macht einen soliden Eindruck. Der Klingenstand war ordentlich, aber nicht perfekt mittig.

Allerdings musste ich das Messer reklamieren, aus folgendem Grund: Die großzüguge Aussparung am Griff ermöglicht ein kinderleichtes einhändiges Öffnen der Klinge und könnte m. E. (Laie) durchaus als 'Öffnungshilfe' interpretiert werden. Daher habe ich mich letztlich für das RealSteel Phasma Free entschieden, das auch einen Ticken besser verarbeitet und etwas schlanker ist.
