The **Real Steel Pelican 7922** is a cool EDC pocket knife, designed by Aslan Zhanabayev. This designer from Kazakhstan is known for his eccentric and outspoken designs. The design of the Pelican, however, is quite modest, but still betrays the hand of the master. The different grip serrations on the handle are typical for his designs.

 You open the Real Steel Pelican with the flipper. Because of the ball bearings it will open quickly. You can also open it with the thumb hole, even though we felt that was a little more difficult. A solid, steel frame lock firmly locks the blade. In terms of steel, D2 was chosen. This is a strong type of tool steel that retains its sharpness well. You do, however, have to be careful around acids, salt and moisture: D2 is not completely stainless. You do, however, receive a lot of toughness for it in return.

 To summarize the Real Steel Pelican is an appealing knife for a great price. A cool and usable design.
