The **Fox ALSR 2 FRN** is a rescue knife for use in the air, on land and in the water. The name ALSR also stands for Air, Land, Sea, Rescue. The blade is partially serrated and easy to open with one hand. The shape of the blade is called 'sheepsfoot'. This means that the tip of the blade is less pointy than with other blade shapes.

## Fox ALSR blade

The blade is made from Böhler N690Co steel, This is an Austrian steel with an additional addition of cobalt for even better corrosion resistance than standard N690 steel. It's very tough and stainless. Sharpening is also easy. When opened the blade is locked by a liner lock. The lock is enhanced with a secondary lock: the L.A.W.K.S. This is the Lake And Walker Knife Safety system. This additional latch will secure the linerlock. As such the knife will never accidentally unlock and close.

## Fox ALSR 2: FRN handle

The handle is made from FRN (Fibreglass Reinforced Nylon), with red and yellow colours. FRN is also known as GRN. What's great about FRN is that it can take a beating, and it is water-resistant. Perfect for everyday use! The handle contains a seatbelt cutter and glass breaker. The blade for the seatbelt cutter is interchangeable. A replacement blade and torx key are included.

Because the Fox ALSR is quite large it comes with a Cordura nylon belt sheath. In this sheath you can easily and comfortably keep it close.

Heb dit mes gezien bij een vriend. En gevraagd om eens te lenen. Was geweldig. Heb grote handen dus het grote handvat was ideaal voor mij. Ook is het een beetje geplooid wat ervoor zorgt dat het mes goed past. Uiteindelijk zelf gekocht. En was verbaasd dat er een extra mesje was voor de gordel/touw snijder te vervangen indien deze bot begint te worden. Makkelijk te openen met duim en/of middelvinger. Eerste mes met een ring om te openen en vind het absoluut geweldig!
