This **Fontenille Pataud steak knife set** is comprised of two Laguiole table knives with a handle made from exotic snake wood from French-Guyana. Named after the snake-like pattern in the wood. This is one of the most exotic types of wood in the world. The traditional 'shepherd's cross in the handle also looks amazing. The cross, comprised of rivets, refers to the legend of catholic shepherds who during their crusades to Spain, wanted to pray far away from a church or chapel. They put the knife, with the cross facing forwards, in the ground to say a prayer.

 The blades are made from French Z40C13 steel, that is forged by hand under high temperatures. It is a fixed blade that retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. One side of the blade towards the tip has been enhanced with micro-serrations. These serrations are almost completely invisible and take care of long-term sharpness.

 You, of course, don't store a set of these types of kitchen knives in your kitchen drawer. That is why they are delivered in a stunning, lacquered wooden box.
