These **Flytanium Civivi Elementum Scales** are great aftermarket accessories for the Civivi/We Knife Elementum. They are well-fitting scales made by the experts at Flytanium. Please note: the scales don't fit on the button lock versions of the Elementum.

These scales are made from titanium with a black DLC coating. Wonderfully lightweight, and with a sleek appearance.

## Flytanium accessories

Flytanium have been making superb accessories for all sorts of pocket knives for many years. While this remained a hobby for many manufacturers, Flytanium decided to specialise in this. As a result, Flytanium scales have an excellent reputation worldwide. 

## Tips for installation

Adding new scales or other accessories is not without its risks! To prevent damage to screws and scales, always use suitable screwdrivers and never force anything. We like to add a little piece of plastic bag in between the bit and the screw to help prevent any damage to the screws. If the screws are stuck, it is important not to force them. Carefully heat them with a hairdryer or tap the back of the screwdriver to break the loctite. 

Before you start tinkering, always check the manufacturer's warranty conditions: for some brands, the warranty expires the moment you start working on the knife yourself. Installing scales is at your own risk. We are not liable for damages that you may cause to the knife or the accessory.

De magnifiques plaquettes en titane, Lourdes et finement usinées.
En revanche, attention car elles sont très (trop?) fines. En fonction de l'épaisseur de vos anciennes plaquettes (les anciennes étant plus épaisses dans un mélange résine/carbone un peu souple) j'ai dû usiner l'entretoise de mon Civivi pour la raccourcir et être en mesure qu'il n'y ai plus de jeu au montage final. Autrement la vis d'entretoise ne pinçait pas la plaquette et les platines pour un ajustement au poil.
J'y suis arrivé au bout de 3h d'essai et la garanti y est probablement resté mais le résultat est là de toute façon. Le résultat final est malgré tout très agréable malgré ce contretemps.
