Do you want a big knife, which is not so big? Then the Pipsqueak designed by Neil Blackwood, is a great choice. It is not big in the sense of having a tall blade, but it is a great, solid, tough appearing pocket knife. The partially stonewashed finish of blade and handle looks very tough. The metal part of the handle is made of a thick plate of titanium. The other side of the knife, the titanium features a handle made of micarta. The olive green color strengthens the character of the knife.  
   


Everything is heavy and well made. This includes the frame lock. Yet the knife very easy to open and close with one hand. It runs very smoothly. The pocket clip is placed on the edge of the handle, so the knife falls entirely into your trouser pocket.

The blade is made of a very high quality and modern steel: S35VN. This is a stronger version of the very popular S30V steel.

EXCELLENT produit. Compact et idéal en transport quotidien. Malgré ses petites dimensions, il a tout d'un grand. 

Mooi, stevig mes. Fraai bewerkt en mooi geslepen. Bloedscherp uit de doos. Is inderdaad een 'groot' mes in klein formaat. Erg leuk om in de verzameling te hebben. Natuurlijk is het best een hoop geld voor een zakmes, maar dan heb je ook wel wat. 

Qua formaat past het goed in de hand. Linkshandige zullen het micarta deel in de handpalm hebben en dat is erg comfortabel. Ik als rechtshandige heb echter geen enkel probleem ervaren met de grip op het mes. Voelt door z'n hoogte en duimgreep lekker stevig aan. 

Het mes gaat steeds mooier sluiten na enige tijd. Is goed te openen en sluiten met één hand. De vergrendeling werkt super en sluit als een kluisdeur.

Al met al een fijn mes. 


Na maanden op internet zoeken naar een zwaar degelijk
zakmes , uitgekomen bij een degelijk zwaar ogend, licht
dragend zakmes de Böker Blackwood Pipsqueak.
helemaal naar verwachting, en gemakkelijk aan te passen .
andere gripschaal en wat scherpe kanten wegwerken.
supersnel na bestelling bezorgd.
Dit mes zal mij vele uren ombouw plezier geven ,en
vele jaren gebruik.

Zoals altijd is de service van Knivesandtooles uitstekend. Even voor zessen besteld en toch de volgende dag in huis.
Wat mijn aandacht trok bij dit mes was de aparte vormgeving en toen het bezorgd werd was ik best onder de indruk.
Het mes is niet groot maar ontzettend robuust.
Het kwam echt scheermes scherp uit de doos en de afwerking is uitstekend.
Een heel leuk detail is de pocketclip. Deze heeft de exacte vormgeving van het open geklapte mes. Heel apart en zeer fraai.
Het mes is eigenlijk te mooi voor dagelijks gebruik.
Echter een klein minpuntje. Normaal ben je gewend dat bij de meeste messen de staalsoort vermeld staat op het lemmet. Bij dit mes echter niet, jammer, maar een detail.

Even een opmerking over het merk Spyderco. Ik ben een liefhebber van het merk, maar Knivesandtools. Wat doet U nu. U plaatst van 1 soort mes  een aantal verschillende zeer uitbundige gekleurde handgrepen. Het lijkt mij dat U beter verschillende soorten messen kunt plaatsen dan een soort met allerlei kleuren. (Bijv. een Spyderco Roc, zeer apart) Een echte messenliefhebber kijkt o.a. naar de staalsoort en naar de vorm van het mes. Een mes met allerlei gekleurde handgrepen lijkt mij totaal niet interessant.Het lijkt net een kermis.(uitgezonderd rescue- en zoutwatermessen)
