the knife is well finished, flips perfectly, but in everyday use unusable, the blade is much too thick, to do anything useful with it

This is, without exception, one of the best knives I have ever purchased. Even for tougher use, this knife works as if it was made for the purpose. A bit heavy, but that just supports that it is suitable for "almost" any kind of use
