## Wüsthof Classic blade: razor-sharp stainless steel


The blade made from chromium-vanadium steel (X50CrMoV15) is forged from one solid piece of steel. It is sharpened according to Wüsthof’s PEtec technology. This means that for each blade a sharpening angle is determined with the help of a computer. Afterwards it is precisely sharpened on a wet sharpening stone. After thorough inspection each knife leaves the production line, ready for a life of intensive use.


Wüsthof processes the steel in a specific way to make sure it has a high hardness of 58 Rockwell. As such the knife retains its sharpness for a really long time. However, if you notice that the knife is not as sharp as it used to be, all you have to do is move it over a honing steel. The result is a razor-sharp knife that is amazing to use.


## Wüsthof Classic handle: sustainable and hygienic


This knife is a combination of a forged blade and an ergonomic handle made from black POM, a very sustainable type of plastic. The handle can withstand all substances you find in the kitchen. The handle was traditionally and seamlessly riveted to the blade with three rivets. As such dirt can never accumulate in between the blade and the handle. The crop protects your fingers from unnecessary contact with the edge. What more could you possibly ask for?


## Wüsthof Classic: the classic Wüsthof collection


The Classic is the most extensive Wüsthof collection on the market today. It is comprised of over 80 different kitchen knives, amongst which different sizes of chef’s knives, bread knives and carving knives. Because this collection has the most versions of all possible knives, you can easily comprise your own perfect knife set. A knife set with a knife block of chef’s case is, of course, also an option.


Both amateur and professional chef’s love working with these kitchen knives. They are enhanced with the NSF hygiene mark.

Ich wollte dieses Mal einen guten Messerblock haben, da mich bei den günstigen, biegsamen Messern genervt hat, dass diese sofort stumpf wurden, schneiden damit keinen Spaß mehr gemacht hat. Da ich viel koche, wollte ich mir jetzt zu Weihnachten etwas gönnen - das Wüsthof Messerset. Es kam gut verpackt an, alle Messer sind scharf wie sonst was - das klassische Papierschneiden klappte ohne Probleme. Alle Messer liegen gut in der Hand und haben die passende Länge. Die Qualität ist 1A verarbeitet. Kurz, es gibt überhaupt nichts zu meckern! Auch die Schere möchte ich nicht unerwähnt lassen, welche von mir anfangs nur belächelt wurde - die ist saugut und sauscharf. Ungelogen, alle anderen, alten Scheren habe ich sofort entsorgt. Ich musst jetzt das Kochmesser mit dem Wetzstahl schärfen, klappte super - 5 mal drübergezogen, Messer schneidet wieder wie eine 1. Zu guter Letzt, was mir noch wichtig ist zu sagen, bevor manche von Euch die selben Ängste haben: Auf einer Homepage beschreibt einer, der die Herstellung angeblich gelernt haben soll (im Vergleich mit den 3 großen Marken aus Solingen), dass das Messer super ist, allerdings der Griff zu klein für große Hände ist. Ehrlich, deswegen habe ich die Messer fast nicht gekauft, da ich mit 1,90m Größe doch denke große Hände zu haben, ich keine Lust hatte den Handballen immer am Anschlag zu haben. Dann dachte ich mir aber, dass Profiköche dieses Messer benutzten, guckst du einfach mal, schickst es ansonsten wieder zurück. Ich muss sagen, Platz ohne Ende, ich habe bestimmt noch 2-3cm Luft bis zum gebogenen Ende. Ich weiß nicht, was für Pranken der vermeidliche Profi hat, aber eines kann ich sagen, zu kurz ist hier nichts. 
Und, da Weihnachten war gab es bei Knivesandtools noch den Wüsthof Schleifstein gratis hinzu - was will ich mehr?

Heel fijne messen. Heel scherp en ook mooi. Liggen perfect in de hand.
Ik vind het jammer dat het blok niet mooi gevuld is. Daarmee bedoel ik dat er sommige grote uitsparingen zitten voor te kleine messen waardoor ze niet mooi in het blok zitten. Wat mij betreft zou er een klein mesje uit mogen en een santoku mes erin.

Uitstekend snijdende messen. De messen doen eigenlijk het werk. Dik tevreden klant.


Messen zijn perfect afgewerkt en liggen lekker zwaar in de hand, door het gewicht moet je wel opletten dat je er geen lichtgewicht snijplank bij gebruikt, deze verschuift dan makkelijker vergeleken met mijn oude lichtgewicht messen. koksmes kwam scheermesscherp binnen.
