With a Work Sharp system, you can sharpen pretty much anything.

The **Work Sharp Kitchen Edge Sharpener** is an affordable and convenient pull-through sharpener. Thanks to the convex carbide inserts in step 1 and a fine ceramic wheel in the second step, you can quickly get your knives sharp again. The knife sharpener has a sharpening angle of 20°. This means you always sharpen at the same sharpening angle. Because the knife sharpener is small, you can easily store it in the kitchen drawer or take it on trips with you in your camping kit.

## How to use the Work Sharp Kitchen Edge Sharpener

Place the sharpener on a flat surface, or on the edge of the counter for extra strength. The rubber bottom keeps the sharpener firmly in place. Run the blade through the 1st step at least 10 times. Repeat sharpening until the blade is sharp. Then pass the knife through the 2nd step 10 times. Wipe the blade with a cloth between steps and after sharpening.

If you're sharpening a knife for the first time, you may need to adjust the knife's sharpening angle to the sharpener's sharpening angle. The knife sharpener has a sharpening angle of 20°. If you have a knife with a sharpening angle of 18º, it will take a while for the sharpener to have the desired effect. When using the sharpener on a knife for the first time, pass the knife repeatedly (20 to 50 times) through the knife sharpener's first step to give the knife the same sharpening angle as the sharpener. Only then move onto the 2nd phase to finish sharpening the knife. Once the knife has the right sharpening angle, you'll only have to pull it through the sharpener a few times when you next need to sharpen the knife.
