I needed a multitool type knife for hikes in the woods. It feels light in the pocket yet sturdy in hand. The tools on this SAK fit the tasks that I may need to perform very well. Tasks such as fire preparation, food preparation, first aid, whittling/crafting, foraging(mushrooms, chaga etc) and any type of "camp-/bushcraft" tasks really. The knife could be improved if it was the one-hand opening model that is my only critique. So all in all very happy with my purchase and with KnivesandTools.com.

There are innumerable models of swiss army knife and many of the tools contained within them will never see the light of day. This knife offers the best combination of utility and function for serious work in the great outdoors. It contains all the essential tools common to this brand. It's a little larger and heavier than some models, but the saw and locking blade provide the right tools to process wood efficiently and safely, and it does this better than many so called 'tactical' survival knives. A great all-round knife.
