Sage cutting boards are made from a combination of FSC-certified wood, pulp and resin. These cutting boards are fairly thin with a smooth, non-porous, heat-resistant surface that is, above all, hygienic. Sage cutting boards thus comply with the food safety management principles, as set down in the HACCP. This means that these cutting boards can always be used in any professional food establishment. The wood is dense enough to resist deep scratches, yet not so dense as to damage the knives. According to Sage, these cutting boards are extremely durable and will last more than twice as long as an ordinary wooden cutting board. They are also relatively lightweight and thin, making them hardly any higher than a kitchen worktop. Contrary to most ‘ordinary’ wooden cutting boards, these boards are dishwasher safe.

Een erg fijne snijplank en qua formaat ook ideaal. Het is groot genoeg voor de groentes en past ook nog in de vaatwasser. De plank is goed schoon te krijgen. De eerste dagen heeft de plank een wat vreemde geur, maar die verdwijnt na een paar keer schoonmaken. 

Geweldige snijplank. Wel wat groot. De plank rook wat vreemd in het begin, maar dat was na een week of 2 en een paar keer met de hand wassen weg. Nu ruim 2 maanden in gebruik. Vergeleken met de plank van Epicurean die ik >10 jaar heb gebruikt, lijkt deze plank veel minder snel te krassen en minder geur (van ui, bv) op te nemen. Na 2 maanden amper krassen en geur. Wel oppassen met kurkuma, dit geeft wel gele vlekken. Jammer dat er maar 2 kleuren verkrijgbaar zijn. De anti-slip voetjes werken fijn.

Een prima bord van groot formaat voor de fanatieke kok. Materiaal is goed, messen lijken er goed op te reageren en is licht en makkelijk afwasbaar. Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is beslist vijf sterren waard.

Het product is  alleen in naturel en in zwart verkrijgbaar. Ik vind het bepaald geen prettige kleur (naturel, kartonnen kleur) om naar te kijken, vandaar slechts een ster.

Een signaal die ik wil afgeven is de onevenredig hoge meerprijs voor hetzelfde bord met een sleuf; bijna €30 meer! Ik had het graag willen hebben maar de meerprijs vind ik onredelijk.

Kortom, de kleur vind ik drie keer niks  maar, voor de practicus is het een geweldig bord. 

Zeer goed en degelijk! De plan is lich en zeer makkelijk af te wassen.
