We inherited a Robert Herder knife so we knew that we were buying an excellent blade. There is a large selection so it was easy to find the perfect size. The blade is incredibly sharp: no sawing required, it simply slices through the food be it meat, veg or cheese. The handle could be better. It is unfinished wood and does not have a good 'feel' about it, especially when it is wet. If it was varnished or coated, this knife would receive five stars in all categories.

My family has been using these paring knives for at least 4 generations. I have never found a kitchen knife that even comes close. The blade, whilst not stainless, is super sharp and can be sharpened again and again. Great for cutting tomatoes and onions very finely. Not dishwasher safe. Best washed and dried immediately after use.

This product when received was awful. We washed it in normal washing up bowl and it went rusty its not great for value at all its also blunt. i am demanding a refund as i am so disappointed with this make.

Saw this knife being used on a you tube vid.It performs exactly as promised.The knife is pretty basic ie wooden handlle.The blade does tend to discolour but that must be the carbon in the steel which allows this knife to be super sharp.

I have had one of these knives (not the same knife) since 1966 I bought one when I was stationed in Germany and although I have replaced them when lost they are the best paring knife you can get I have also bought them for friends and relatives as they were impressed
