have used an Opinel no.8 since 1982 for a variety of tasks including prep of small game, a no.8 is my every day carry I love the edge they hold and I only ordered this as I thought I had lost it, happily I found my own no.8 and am delighted to have this as a new back up I also have another no.8 in an exotic wood with stainless blade a big fan of the brand

I bought this as a replacement for an identical one that I lost. Easily the best knife I've ever had, holds its edge well and if looked after will last a lifetime. I had my last one 13 years very frequent use!

A wonderful and classic knife. Robust, well-designed, with a fantastic carbon steel blade that can be honed to a razor's edge. My favourite knife.
