The **Opinel No. 08 Mushroom knife** is specifically designed to cut (wild) mushrooms. Due to the curved blade you can easily cut through the stem. The serrations on the spine of the blade make sure you have enough grip as you look for and cut mushrooms. After harvesting the mushrooms you can clean them immediately with the boar bristle brush at the back of the knife.


The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel. This type of steel is stainless and easy to sharpen if the mushroom knife loses some of its sharpness in time. The handle is made from beech wood.

Well weighted knife. Bristle firmness for their length is great—nice touch including a serrated side on the blade.

Me tarde de l'essayer cet automne, très beau et super tranchant. 

Couteau à champignon de très bonne qualité. La lame est de la qualité habituelle pour Opinel (inox).  Retour après un usage important sur un précédent exemplaire de ce couteau : la brosse est vraiment un gros plus pour nettoyer les champignons lors du ramassage, et surtout elle a une bonne durée de vie (pour l'instant toujours efficace après des dizaines de kg ramassés en deux ans)

Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
