With its slim design and rounded shapes, the Calliope is a pleasure to handle. This is true while the blade is retracted and when it's extended. You can't really feel the transition between wood and steel. That shows how high a level Moki is working at. The ironwood (hardwood) of the handle is inlaid with a mother-of-pearl oval on one side. Again, it fits seamlessly with the wood. The wonderful colours that the mother of pearl can assume in different types of light make this knife a real sight to behold. Like a true gentleman's knife, it combines external beauty with practicality and quality.


The Calliope comes with a dark brown soft leather sheath. There has been a lot of attention to detail here too, because it has smooth, black leather on the inside.

Net als bij andere Moki's loopt alles naadloos over. Het lemmet, de handvat en parelmoer. Wel gaat de mechaniek iets stroever open en dicht. In het hout zit een reliëf alsof het rimpels heeft. Komt ook in een mooi lederen foedraal.
