The **KA-BAR BK7 Combat Utility** is the result of the successful cooperation between knife maker Ethan Becker and knife producer KA-BAR. The knife was designed to offer as much stability as possible for its weight. This knife can handle its own. The blade is made from 1095-carbon steel. This steel, however, is not corrosion-resistant. Fortunately the blade is enhanced with a black coating to make sure maintenance is a lot easier. 1095 carbon steel is easy to sharpen and forgiving when it comes to demanding use.

The comfortable handle is made from Zytel. A sustainable light-weight and strong type of plastic. Because of its size the BK7 can also be easily be used if you have (very) large hands or when wearing gloves. At the end of the handle a part of the steel tang is sticking out, which you can use as an improvised hammer.

The included sheath is made from nylon with a plastic insert and is MOLLE compatible. The front of the sheath is enhanced with an additional sheath you can use to store the [KA-BAR BK13CP Remora](/en/pt/-ka-bar-becker-remora-bk13cp-neck-knife.htm). As such you can always keep two knives close using only one sheath.

Geweldig groot & solide mes. Ligt goed in mijn (grote) hand. Mes is absoluut topklasse!
Bijgeleverd foedraal is ook erg mooi maar de kunststof insert is veel te groot voor dit mes. Het mes rammelt in het foedraal.
5 sterren voor het mes, 0 sterren voor het niet passend foedraal.

Klassisches Becker in hervorragender Qualität

Ein für seine Größe recht „leichtes“ und jedenfalls sehr handliches Messer. Ich habe die schwarze Beschichtung mit Abbeizmittel entfernt und die Originalgriffe gegen die Micarta-Griffe ausgetauscht. Bin mit dem Messer sehr zufrieden. Die Scheide ist zwar suboptimal, aber sicher mit ein Grund für das tolle Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. 

Pro: Knive very good balance, sharpness, coating & workmanship. 
Contra: Sheet does not fit because is much to long & to wide. Knives is very loosen & rattles. I think its the sheet of the BK9.
A new sheet is needed if You by a BK7. Then the price is much to high.
 Have to send it back.
