This **Gerber Bushcraft hand axe** is a compact axe for bushcraft and camping trips. The ergonomic design ensures good grip, even in wet conditions. The cutouts in the handle reduce weight and improve grip for smaller tasks when you are holding the axe close to the head. The axe comes with a nylon sheath.

## The head of the Gerber Bushcraft hatchet

The head and the overstrike guard are forged from one piece. The carbon steel blade is embossed for deeper strikes. The blade is coated with PTFE. The head is fitted with a hammer at the back, ideal for tasks like driving pegs into the ground.

## The shaft of the Gerber Bushcraft hatchet

The shaft is made from glass-filled nylon and is topped with a rubber layer to ensure good grip. Even in wet conditions. There is also a secret hidden within the shaft: a gear storage stick with a 150 cm piece of paracord and space for a lighter or some tinder (not included). This stick is closed with a waterproof ring, so the things you store in your axe stay dry. This means you always have everything you need for a good campfire.

Superbe prise en main. Un vrai plus en complément d'une scie de poche au jardin comme en forêt.
Le petit plus réside dans le manche avec paracorde et emplacement pour un briquet.

Ich hatte mir dieses Beil tatsächlich nur wegen seiner Optik gekauft. Generell würde ich eine Funktion und auch Qualität in Richtung Fiskars und Co. absolut bestätigen. Durch die quasi nicht geschliffene Schneide war ich ein wenig irritiert. Das Beil war bei Auslieferung quasi stumpf, so das ich zuerst den Schleifstein in die Hand nehmen mußte. Das Handling, sowie die Ausgewogenheit gefallen gut. Die Spaltwirkung ist absolut zufriedenstellend. Deshalb sind meine vier Sterne zur "Erwartung" auch Recht gut gemeinte vier Sterne. Für ein wenig mehr Präzision in allen Bereichen würde ich sicherlich auch noch ein paar Euro oben drauf legen.

Sie wird Stumpf geliefert und ist ein echt schwerer Brocken. 

Je cherchais depuis quelques temps une hache compact pour mes sorties buscraft, je me suis laissé tenter par ce modèle. 
Et je ne suis pas déçu, légère compacte avec un très bon tranchant 💪🏼
