The **Gerber Armbar Drive Onyx 30-003830** is a compact multi-tool. With the Armbar collection Gerber is entering the world of slim multi-tools. With a closed length of 9 cm you will always have enough room in your pocket, bag or EDC pouch for this multi-functional tool. The Armbar is very robust because of the anodized aluminium scale and the solid steel construction. The Armbar can handle its own. You can tell. It doesn't matter what you will come across, the Gerber Armbar will never let you down!

 ## Gerber Armbar Cork vs Armbar Drive

 The Armbar collection contains two different versions with different handles. The Cork collection and the Drive collection. The names already give it away. The Cork-collection is enhanced with a cork screw and the Drive-collection with a screwdriver with double-sided magnetic bit. The Cork collection is also enhanced with a can and packaging opener. The Drive collection is enhanced with a razor-sharp awl.

 Both versions are enhanced with a 7 cm long blade. You open it with the thumb hole. A linerlock locks the blade to make sure you can quickly get to work. Both collections are enhanced with scissors. Just like the flat part at the end of the handle that functions as a hammer. A cool detail is the hidden bottle opener and pry-bar. You reveal it by clicking the hammer up. Incredibly innovative!

 Our conclusion? The Gerber Armbar is a very valuable addition to your everyday carry. You get a lot of value for money. The price-quality ratio is sublime. Something Gerber manages to do every single time. You cannot go wrong with the Armbar. Because of the wide selection of different colours and tools there is a perfect version for everyone!

Helaas voldoet de Armbar Drive niet aan mijn verwachtingen. De schaar heeft een lip waardoor deze niet te ver in het handvat zou moeten vallen. Dit gebeurt echter wel.  Diezelfde lip zou m.i. ook moeten zorgen dat de schaar iets fijner in gebruik is doordat je niet op een smal handvat hoeft te drukken. Het werkt echter averechts, omdat de lip nu in mijn vinger drukt. 
De onderdelen gaan stroef open Ik heb 2 handen nodig om het mes uit te klappen. De schroef losser zetten om de frictie te verminderen is geen optie omdat dan de bithouder te makkelijk inklapt tijdens gebruik. 

Kortom, voor mij werkt het niet en deze tool gaat de deur uit.  Jammer, aangezien de tools die er in zitten precies zijn wat ik zocht. 

This multitool is awesome for the price. But there are some drawbacks. 

Out of the box, separate tools are very stiff to open. Blade cannot be opened with one hand, even after a couple of weeks of use.

Scissors are ok, but not on the level of Victorinox. They work, but are flimsy in more situations where you need a more precise cut.

Overall, I would recommend this tool for EDC, quick use tool, but not for anything more.

Voor de liefhebbers van Swiss Army knives zeker een goed alternatief. Compact en aanpasbaar naar eigen wens aangezien de bit houder eender welke 6mm bits kan gebruiken. Mes is ook toegankelijk met 1 hand, de bottle opener / prybar is steviger dan ik had verwacht. Openen van het mes is in het begin wat stroef maar na enkele dagen gebruik en een kleine smeerbeurt is dit probleem compleet opgelost. Last but not least een compacte maar zeer capabele schaar, ze gaat zonder problemen door 550 paracord zelfs 2 tegelijk! Geweldig product.

Deze Gerber is een handige tool om bij je te hebben tijdens allerlei klussen en activiteiten, of je nu kampeert of gewoon thuis klusjes doet.

Bovendien is deze multitool compact en gemakkelijk mee te nemen in je zak of rugzak, waardoor het een handig en draagbaar hulpmiddel is.

Het biedt een groot aantal handige gereedschappen.

Het is een uitstekende keuze voor iedereen die een betaalbare en compacte multitool nodig heeft.
