Paracord lovers instantly become fond of the Fish Bones and Piranhas. These handy little helpers are the result of a very successful Kickstarter project (which is a form of crowdfunding, where people that believe in the product pay money before it has even seen the light of day.)  
  

 
It comes down to tying rope/paracord without knots. The basic principle of all of these is the same: you put the tip of your paracord on the Fish Bone or Piranha and wrap it back. The friction tightens the paracord. The other side goes around the head of the fish and anchors it extremely tight. There are many demo’s on the website www.fishbonefish.com.  
  

 
The big advantage of using Fish Bone or Piranha compared to using a knot is that you easily tighten the rope. Something you can hardly achieve with regular knots. It works more like a strap, but being one of the exact right length.  
  

 
The Fish Bone is made of aluminum, stainless steel or titanium. The Piranha is made of stainless steel and is a bit larger than the Fish Bone. The Snapper is the biggest which is suitable for 1/4 "rope (8 mm). It also works as a bottle opener, making it AWESOME!

I KEEP BUYING MORE OF THESE.  
I'm hooked!  Such a great invention with so many uses.  I have one on a paracord bracelet for emergency use.  The others I use on my boat and trailer.   Such a handy thing to have.  Once you buy these you realise how many things you can do with them.  So much easier than tying knots and more secure (if you're not a Knot person) and also easier to untie even when wet and cold.

Excellent tool to tie paracord. Lots of different applications. Holds securely with no slipping but also easy to untie. I use this on my boat and works well even when wet and with wet hands. Can easily hold 100 kg. Excellent must have tool for boats, camping and anywhere you use paracord. Fully recommended.

Je zou het niet aangeven maar met deze koppelstukjes kan je verbindingen maken die je voor het eerst onmogelijk zou achten! Een shelter bouwen met verschillende stukjes touw,je vrachten vastzetten ,allemaal zo gebeurd dankzij de veelzijdigheid van deze Fishbone’s,ik ga de deur niet meer uit zonder een paar op zak,dit is echt een uitvinding die in het alledaagse leven van pas komt,nooit meer knoeien om verschillende stukken touw aan wasdraad of elk denkbare “touwsoort” met de meest stevige knopen te verbinden zodat ze niet meer lossen. Ik vind ze persoonlijk ook heel handig in het zetten van tripwire vallen met zwaar hangend of opgespannen materiaal,je kan ze gebruiken als trekker,verbinding en zo verder...de mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos,echt een aanrader voor de bushcrafter ;-)
