The **Fällkniven Foldable Sharpener FDC** is a double-sided sharpening steel with a diamond side and a ceramic side. This foldable sharpening stone works like a kind of butterfly knife. In the opened position, the handle functions as a handle, and in the closed position, the handle protects the sharpening stone. This means you can safely carry the stone in your pocket or backpack without having to worry about damaging the sharpening stone.

## Fällkniven Foldable Sharpener grit size

The diamond side has a coarse grit size of 25 microns. This roughly corresponds to a 500 grit Japanese sharpening stone. Use this side to get a blunted knife sharp again. The ceramic side has a grit size of 9 microns. This roughly corresponds to a 1400 grit Japanese sharpening stone. Use this side to get (or keep) your knife super sharp!

The ceramic stone is made from sintered aluminium oxide. The advantage of this material is that it is very wear-resistant. This is even more true for the diamond-coated side. With these very hard materials, you can even sharpen knives made from extremely hard powdered steels. The stone can be used dry and should be cleaned occasionally with warm water and possibly a mild liquid soap. The stone might feel a little rough at first, but will become smoother during use.

Super handig goed werkend slijpapparaat, zeer tevreden over en koop er gelijk nog een tweede van.

Je cherchais un aiguiseur de poche qui ne détruit pas les lames (comme certains appareils).
Le côté diamant est très efficace pour refaire la lame, et le côté céramique, plus fin, permet de redonner un bon tranchant.

Le seul bémol pourrait être le manche en plastique (attention à la casse !), sinon rien à redire il fait un bon travail.

now this is a great tool! compact and efficient, it's now part of my EDC and all my knives at home are sharp again!
