The **Cold Steel Wild West Bowie 81B** is a large bowie knife, as you might have seen them in the movies. A massive blade, large brass knife guard and rosewood handle. What a beast! And all that for an amazing price.



A knife such as this needs to be used. That is when you need a type of steel that can handle its own, and is also easy to sharpen. That is why the blade is made from 1090 carbon steel. Do, however, take into account that 1090 is not completely stainless. So keep it clean and dry after use and occasionally add a drop of oil to the blade. As such the blade will stay in great shape. The stunning patina, however, that will form in time also looks great!



The handle is made from tropical rosewood. The pattern looks amazing! The brass screws and knife guard complete the warm look and feel of the wood. A nice knife such as this deserves a nice sheath: that is why the Wild West Bowie comes with a leather sheath. The Cold Steel Wild West Bowie will be the centrepiece of every collection.

Cold steel is altijd goed. Dit prachtige mes is iconisch. Je waant je zo in het wilde westen. Vorm is perfect en dat messing is zo mooi! DE Bowie. 

Es bringt einen einfach immer ein Lachen von den Lippen. Macht einfach Spaß damit umzugehen. Als Hammer für Nägel kann man es auch benutzen.:D Preisgerecht verarbeitet ist es wirklich für so ein mächtiges Stück stahl. Klar sieht man hier und da mal einen markel aber bei dem Preis ist das absolut vertretbar.

Leuk mes maar geeft mee meer een budget Rough Rider gevoel dan de bekende zware kwaliteit van Cold steel. 

Erg indrukwekkend. Iets kleiner dan de Black Bear Bowie, maar veel mooier en ook zwaarder. Geen speling in de guard, die van erg mooi messing is gemaakt. Het staal lijkt tijdens slijpen aan de zachte kant, maar dat lijkt mij voor dit type "zwaard" juist een goede eigenschap. Zal niet zomaar breken. Wordt wel goed scherp. Is wel erg dik achter de snede, maar is ook niet bedoeld als keukenmes. Mooie aanwinst voor de collectie
