The **ANV M500 Anthropoid** is a cool dagger knife, based on the famous Fairbairn Sykes design. This model was instrumental during the Second World War. The name of this knife therefore also refers to an important event in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1941-1942.



The name 'Anthropoid' means *ape*. It was also the name of Operation Anthropoid. A very dangerous operation that was aimed at killing member of the SS Reinhard Heydrich in Prague. An operation that was carried out by two Czech paratroopers: Jan Kubiš and Jozef Gabcík. In cooperation with the RAF. This adaption of the famous British Fairbairn Sykes knife, made by this Czech company is therefore very appropriate.



The pointed blade is enhanced with a groove, fuller, in the middle. The knife guard ensures that your hand won't end up on the blade. At the end of the handle you will find a very sharp tip.



The blade is made from Elmax steel. A high-end type of steel that retains its sharpness well. It is also corrosion resistant. ANV used a very sustainable DLC coating for this edition. It is matt, so the blade hardly reflects.



The handle is made from G10. A strong material that offers enough grip, perfect for handles. ANV added subtle grooves to the surface of the handle for even more grip.



The ANV Knives M500 comes with a sleek kydex sheath. It is enhanced with two MOLLE clips to make sure you can hang it from a MOLLE or PALS compatible bag or vest. You also use these clips when you carry it on your belt.

Kwalitatief hoogwaardige dolk. Afwerking is subliem, het heft heeft veel structuur voor een goed grip (beter dan ik ooit gevoeld heb). Hij oogt rank door het design, maar het is een relatief zwaar en lang model. Dubbelzijdige geslepen, scherp maar niet messcherp wat een dolk betaamd. Het lemmet blijft dik tot dichtbij de vlijmscherpe punt, full-tang  constructie (iets wat je verwacht bij een vaste dolk, maar niet altijd zo is). De Kydes schede past goed en ziet er netjes uit, al met al een degelijke en betrouwbare dolk. Mooi voor in een verzameling, niet om te gebruiken (hoewel het product daarvoor wel gemaakt lijkt).

Top mais livré aussi affûté qu’un jouet pour enfant… 

Ein hervorragend verarbeiteter Dolch mit einem sehr guten Stahl. Auch die Kydex Scheide ist vorbildlich verarbeitet. Das Messer ist absolut Einsatztauglich und kann in allen Lagen an der Ausrüstung montiert werden. Auch wenn man den Dolch nicht im Einsatz verwendet, als Sammlermesser ist er auch unbedingt zu empfehlen. Denn er ist eine perfekte Weiterentwicklung des F&S Dolches mit einem sehr guten Handling und einer adäquaten Klingenlänge von 19 cm.

Got this knife yesterday. It is a cool knife, with fantastic quality. The tip is as sharp as a needle. The knife is easy to get out and back into the sheath, wich has a great way of attaching to a belt. The handle does not have a hole for lanyard, but does it matter? I would recommend this knife for any knifecollector. Greetings from Norway.🇳🇴
