The **Xin Cutlery XinCore X127 chef's knife Black G10, damascus** is a modern and graceful chef's knife. Anyone who claims modern art cannot be functional has never used this chef's knife before. The long blade is perfect when cutting all types of vegetable, meat and fish. This knife is enhanced with all practical characteristics of a standard chef's knife, but with a modern and sleek design. The remarkable design comes from the hand of Polish designer and knife maker Ostap Hel. His knives are always somewhat futuristic, but at the same time also remarkably ergonomic and practical.

## XinCore XC127 chef's knife blade: 67 layers of damascus steel with a VG-10 steel core

This XinCore chef's knife has a blade made from 67 layers of damascus steel with a Japanese VG-10 steel core. The forged damascus steel has a heart pattern over the entire length of the blade. This refers to the brand name 'Xin' which meant 'heart' in Chinese. The blade has a hardness of no less than 61 HRC. This is comparable to the hardness of many Japanese kitchen knives. The blade was polished by hand and has a mirrored finish.

## XinCore XC127 handle

The handle is made from white G10 with two aesthetical red liners made from the same material. G10 is a rock-solid type of plastic that can handle discolourations and moisture, acids or heat. Do, however, keep in mind that the white G10 can change colour when it, for instance, comes into contact with tomato sauce. The sleek facets in the handle emphasize its modern design, but also ensure that the handle is thin in the front and broad in the middle. As such the knife looks amazing and feels great in hand.
