The Schrade Extreme Survival Fixed Blade SCHF26 is a solid survival knife, for a good price. A no-nonsense knife, for no-nonsense tasks. The blade is made from stainless 8Cr13MoV-steel. This means that, apart from sharpening it occasionally, you hardly need to think about maintenance. The fact that Schrade can offer a comparable knife at such an attractive price is simply impressive. A complete survival knife, for a very good price.

Expectations

At last, a knife for the wilderness and the home. This is a solid one piece knife, with a good weight to it. It fits nicely in the hand, with a nice grip. The knife arrived with a very sharp edge, do be careful when you handle it for the first time. There are ridges on the blade to give extra control with your thumb. It is coated in black, which gives it a nice touch. This is not a Rambo type knife, its more compact and useful. The sheath supplied is tough and hard wearing, it also has a smaller pocket to hold a fire steel and some tinder. Ordering was simple and arrived quickly. Looking forward to my next purchase.
