The Nitecore EA81 is a spotlight on AA batteries. This is ideal because these batteries are widely available. A light output of 2150 lumens on these batteries is virtually unprecedented. The Cree XHP50-LED offers a range of 462 metres according to the ANSI standard. However, the beam clearly shows a darker spot in the middle (also known as donut beam).
