Ik heb een tijdje rondgekeken naar dit type mes en kwam uiteindelijk uit bij de Fontenille Pataud L7A. Met name het slangenhout met kenmerkende patronen sprak mij aan. Daarnaast is dit geen xl uitvoering, dus een flink formaat mes. Na ontvangst heb ik het mes nog wel even nageslepen en geolied, waardoor deze nu soepeler loopt. Het 1-handig openen is echter niet eenvoudig, en vergt wat oefening. Het enigste nadeel wat ik heb ondervonden is dat er op het hout wat kleine scheurtjes zichtbaar zijn. Het tast de degelijkheid van het mes niet aan, maar het oogt wat minder. Bij mij zat overigens wel een certificaat van authenticiteit.

Ik zocht een one-handed Fontenillemes, en zoals gewoonlijk was Kniveandtools zeer bij de les, de volgende dag had ik dit topmes in huis, en dat door één klik met de muis.

Prachtig mes, staal is goed, afwerking uitstekend en vooral mooi hout op het handvat. Geweldig, eigenlijk te mooi om te gebruiken.
