The **Helle Fiskekniv** is a traditional fish knife. The knife is long, thin, narrow and razor-sharp. Exactly what you might be looking for in a fish knife. So do you like to fishing and need a knife to clean what you have caught? If so the Helle Fiskekniv is perfect for you.


The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel. Razor-sharp upon delivery and stainless. The thickness of the blade stands out: only 2.2 mm. The handle is ergonomically shaped. Thanks to the thicker part at the end of the handle your hand will nicely close itself around it when you hold the knife. At the transition from handle to blade you find a steel bolster. This is prone to oxidise a little faster than the blade so you do need to maintain it.


The knife comes with a traditional Scandinavian leather sheath.



## Maintaining Helle knives


Both the handle and the blade need to be dried with a soft towel if they get wet. We also recommended occasionally adding wax or oil.


The sheath should occasionally be impregnated with a colourless agent (grease or wax) to make sure it stays flexible. Dry the sheath carefully at room temperature if it gets wet.



All Helle knives are made and finished by hand. As such each knife is a unique masterpiece because every pattern is different.
