The Fenix SD11 diving light has been specially developed for observations and underwater photography. Unique to the Fenix ​SD11 is that it has an'R-position' The light produces two colours of light in this position; white and red. The advantage of this is that the colours underwater are produced very naturally. You are thus assured of the best possible visibility and the most colourful underwater productions! the light is water and dustproof according to the IP66-norm.

 In addition to underwater photography, the SD11 is also perfect for land-photography. You preferably use the white light modes low(500 lumens) and high(1000 lumens). The light produces a soft and broad beam in these modes. Perfect for illuminating objects evenly and well!

 ## Optimal underwater control with the Fenix SD11

 With the magnetic ring, you can switch through the positions extremely quickly and easily. No underwater hassle when looking for the righ mode! Including a flexible holder. To this you connect your diving light and your GoPro action camera or DSLR. This way control the light and the camera with one hand! Easy to carry on your wrist is the including lanyard.

 ## The Fenix SD11: a smart diving light.

 The Sd11 is smart diving light. If you turn the ring fully to the left, it immediately shows the battery level. The red indication light turns up when the battery is fully charged. When the red light slowly flashes, you still have time for the last extra photos or observations. Fast flashing red light warns you to charge immediately. A great function especially during a nice dive!

 The light also automatically reduces the number of lumens(up to 700 lumens) when it becomes warmer than 65 degrees. This prevents the light from over heating. At an optimum, constant temperature, it gradually returns to its highest position. In short: you concentrate on work underwater, the lamp does the rest of the thinking!

 The light works on an 18650 Li-ion battery or two Cr123A batteries.

Heb hem nu twee maanden, en duik bijna wekelijks, soms meerdere keren per week.

- Door de brede straal is hij niet echt te gebruiken om iets specifiek aan te wijzen. Je wijst alles aan..

- Wanneer je hem overdag gebruikt (in Nederlands water), kun je hem ook echt alleen maar gebruiken om +/- 1-1,5 meter voor je uit te schijnen (dus niet de 17 
meter die wordt aangegeven. De 17 meter is écht voor boven water!). op een diepte van minder dan 5 meter voegt het lampje niet zo veel toe. Ja, op max 50-75cm afstand, Hij produceert niet genoeg licht om bv visjes op 2 meter afstand te laten schitteren in het licht. En die visjes zie je dus ook niet dan. Ik laat hem zelf constant branden zodat mijn buddy me net wat makkelijker ziet, ook op een wat grotere afstand.

- Als je een donker wrak in schijnt zie je eigenlijk niks, ja weer die 1-1,5 meter

- Ik heb hem gebruikt met de bijgeleverde houder voor de gopro tijdens een nachtduik in Malta. Wanneer je de gopro (6 in mijn geval) om de breedste stand/ groothoekstand hebt, zie je aan de bovenkant en aan de zijkanten de rand van het licht. Op al mijn foto's heb ik aan de bovenkant 1/4-1/3 zwart omdat er geen licht op schijnt. Als je bv de grond filmt/ fotografeert, begint de schaduw op ongeveer 25% vanaf onder aan de zijkanten. Ik had graag wat bestanden bijgevoegd om dit te laten zien.

- Met een nachtduik in buitenland is de brede straal is dan wel een toevoeging omdat je zichtveld breder is, maar dingen op de bodem vallen niet echt op omdat hij net iets te weinig licht geeft. Ook hier is het weer moeilijk om iemand z'n aandacht naar iets te trekken.

- Met fotograferen/ filmen is het het mooist als je de houder niet gebruikt, en de lamp gewoon in je andere hand houdt om vanaf de zijkant bij te schijnen. Hij produceert ook niet echt genoeg licht om een goede belichting te krijgen. Als je het mij vraagt, net niet powerfull genoeg.

- Wanneer je wat dikkere handschoenen hebt, (5mm of meer) met wat minder grip is hij moeilijk met één hand te bedienen. Maakt niet uit, maar is wat minder als je in je andere hand je camera hebt.. (onder andere daarom heb ik hem permanent aan staan. Tweede reden is veiligheid)

- Ben ermee op de 32 meter diepte geweest en heeft het overleefd

- De polsband voelt stevig genoeg!

- Mooi klein lampje!

Heb zoveel mogelijk proberen te omschrijven in de hoop dat het iemand helpt in zijn keuze.

Al met al ben ik er niet helemaal tevreden mee. Heb afgelopen week de SD20 besteld. Daar is nu het wachten op. (batterijen zijn niet op voorraad).

-Outdoor camping: 100 % egale verlichting, geen plekken waar de lichtbundel geconcentreerder is. De lichtbundel is echt éxtreem breed, je kan er gerust je kampeerplek in één keer volledig mee verlichten, je hoeft maar één lamp mee te nemen. Bij nachtwandelingen verlicht je de baan voor een hele groep, er hoeft maar één iemand deze lamp mee te nemen.
-Diving/underwater:  Ik heb er 100% vertrouwen in dat deze voor al je duiken zal volstaan en niet gaat inlopen. Handige functie die aangeeft hoeveel batterij je nog hebt. 
-fotografie: echt dé lamp bij uitstek om op locatie snel wat pilootlicht te hebben. Je kan er probleemloos je achtergronden mee opklaren/ witte achtergrond belichten, haarlichten, snel even als vervanging voor een flits gebruiken. Niet geschikt voor lichtpainting aangezien deze lamp een suuuuper brede bundel heeft. 

Gebruik deze lamp niet om objecten in de verte te verlichten, daar de bundel zo breed is is deze daar niet voor gemaakt. Indien dit gewenst kies je beter voor een lamp met zoomfunctie.
