The **Chris Reeve Sebenza 31 Large Macassar Ebony Boomerang Damascus** is a luxurious and distinctive version of Chris Reeve's well-known Sebenza 31 series. 

## Chris Reeve Boomerang Damascus

The hollow grind blade has a hand-finished convex edge. The blade of this model is made from Chad Nichols Damascus in a Boomerang pattern. This exclusive steel adds an extra level of sophistication to this stylish knife. You can easily open the knife with one hand thanks to the gold-coloured anodized titanium thumb stud, and when opened, a titanium frame lock holds the blade in place.

## Chris Reeve Macassar Ebony

The handle is made from Macassar Ebony. This specific version of ebony is named after the Port of Makassar in Indonesia, which is where most Macassar Ebony comes from. This type of wood is very hard, has a dense structure and a wonderful pattern. The grain is very pronounced. Ebony is an elegant wood that creates a luxurious look.

## Chris Reeve Sebenza 31 Large

For many people, the Chris Reeve Sebenza is the holy grail of the pocket knife world. Reeve’s drive for perfection and continuous upscaling of production quality have inspired a generation of knife companies to aim higher. The Chris Reeve Sebenza is the model that started it all. 

Compared to the Sebenza 21, you'll immediately notice one of the most important differences: the Sebenza 31 has a ceramic lock interface. Sounds complicated, but it's pretty straightforward. Instead of a titanium lockbar that presses against the blade to keep it open, there is a ceramic ball pressed into the titanium at the end. That ceramic ball is much harder than titanium, and will therefore last longer. A clever innovation that we've already seen on the Inkosi.

Another difference is the stop pin. It is hardened to ensure it will also last longer. The finishing touch on the Sebenza 31 is that the pocket clip has been turned a few degrees so that it rests on the frame instead of the lockbar. This makes the locking mechanism more consistent.

The high-quality titanium handle is sandblasted, which ensures a very firm, comfortable grip. Like all Chris Reeve knives, the Sebenza 31 is delivered razor-sharp.
