The **Case Large Stockman 23693** is a real classic in the pocket knife world. This pattern is almost as old as the entire category of Traditionals. This Case Stockman is a very pure incarnation of this classic model. It is enhanced with three blades: a clippoint blade as a main blade, a 5.7 cm sheepsfoot blade and, of course, the almost indispensable Spey blade. This is a spearpoint with a sort of blunt tip. Originally this shape was used to gut game.

When opened the three blades are kept in place by a slipjoint. Because Case uses two lock-springs to keep three blades in place, it is unavoidable that the blades are close together and may even touch each other when the knife is closed. This is a part of the design of the blade and also gives it its authentic charm.

## Case Tru-Sharp SS steel

The blade is made from Case Tru-Sharp SS. This is a stainless type of steel that is similar to 420HC steel. A distinguishing feature of this type of steel is that it can be sharpened super sharp, very quickly.

## Smooth Natural Canvas Micarta

The handle of this Case knife is made from Smooth Natural Canvas Micarta. Micarta is a composite material made from linen and synthetic resin. Feels great in hand, and it looks great.
