The **BeaverCraft BSH6 Breeze** is a nice bushcraft knife. With its high scandi grind, this knife is razor-sharp and very suitable for making feathersticks. The blade is 2.3 mm thick, so it's not too bulky for food prep.

## Blade made of 1066
1066 carbon steel was chosen for the blade of this knife. It's a simple, but good-quality steel that is easy to sharpen. It does require some extra care: 1066 is not corrosion resistant, and so will discolour and possibly rust if you store it when dirty or wet.



This knife has a scandi grind. As the name somewhat suggests, this method of sharpening originated in Scandinavia. A scandi edge excels at wood carving, which is why it is a popular choice for bushcraft knives. Uit nieuwsgierigheid besteld en de eerste de beste mora kost nog niet de helft en is van betere kwaliteit. De snede is geen echte scandi maar heeft een microbevel die nog knap slordig geslepen is ook. Het staal is ontzettend zacht. Het heft is van prima hout dat echter dramatisch slecht is afgewerkt. Al met al een prima ontwerp dat goedkoop en gehaast is geproduceerd. Ik heb het lemmet handmatig opnieuw geslepen tot echte scandi , de houten schalen netjes geschuurd, gepolijst en in de lijnzaadolie gezet. Tot slot de schede wat tlc gegeven en nu is het nieteens een slecht mes voor de beginner die hiermee beslist zal leren hoe hij zijn mes moet slijpen en onderhouden gezien het snel botte en razendsnel roestende staal.
