Now available: Knivesandtools enamelware, designed by Padraig Croke

When you go outside enamel is an excellent companion. It is sustainable, relatively lightweight, versatile and it can handle high temperatures. Also, enamel is easy to clean and will, in time, create a stunning patina. That is why, at Knivesandtools, we decided to create our own collection of enamelware. Made from the best materials, enhanced with unique designs from Padraig Croke.

The Knivesandtools Enamel Collection

The 2022 Knivesandtools Enamel Collection is comprised of two sizes of mugs, and a sauce pan. Of course sold separately, but also as a set! As such you will be ready for your next outdoor adventure in one fell swoop. Cool as a gift, both to give and to receive.

Design by Padraig Croke

You might know Padraig from his cool reviews about many different outdoor products. However, in addition to being a fanatic bushcraft enthusiast Padraig is also an excellent graphic designer. That is why we asked him to create the designs for the enamelware. He became inspired by the different nature reserves he visited. From the snowy woods of Lapland to his favourite spot at Lough Derg in Tipperary, Ireland.

What is enamel?

You often find enamelware in the kitchen: mugs, pans, plates or spatulas which are punched and formed from thin metal. Afterwards they are enhanced with a thin layer of enamel which is 'baked' in the oven into a sustainable, smooth layer. Comparable with a thin layer of glass As far back as the ancient Greek, Chinese and Egyptian empires, people already created enamel.

Quality of the Knivesandtools Enamel

We had our enamelware produced at Emalco, Poland. One of the best enamel producers in the world. Padraig's designs are printed by hand on the mugs and pans. These products can be used on all heat sources. From induction cooking hobs to gas and, of course, the campfire.
