The **Medford Midi Marauder** is a cool and robust pocket knife with a look and feel completely its own. What's striking is the thickness of the blade in combination with the thickness of the handle. They both have exactly the same thickness. As such the Midi Marauder looks incredibly solid.

The blade is made from CPM S45VN steel and finished with Medford's famous *vulcan finish*. This is basically the state of the knife immediately after the heat treatment, without any sharpening. The hollow grind on the blade was applied by hand. This is a unique feature: only few producers apply a hollow grind by hand. With the thumb slot you can easily open the blade. At first this might take some getting used to. When opened, a solid framelock keeps the blade securely in place. Medford pressed the stop-pin in the blade. As a result, it symmetrically leans against the handle. This adds strength.

CPM S45VN is a premium, stainless type of steel. One of the most popular types of steel on the market. For a stainless steel, it is fairly tough and relatively easy to sharpen.

Each Medford knife is made by hand by talented knife makers. Individual differences therefore occur and make each knife unique. All blades are given a hollow grind that is applied by hand. It takes approximately one year for Medford to ship their knives. Knives that are listed as in stock on our website are available and can be shipped immediately. So make sure you don't miss out: it might take a while for new stock to arrive!
