The **Bark River Bravo EDC** is the compact version of the famous Bravo. In terms of shape, the knife is the same, only a little smaller. It's perfect for daily use, hence the addition of 'EDC' to the name. This stands for *Every Day Carry*. It is the ideal size for this purpose.

The blade is made from CPM 3V steel, a tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. It is very hard to break, and also retains its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean the knife after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep it in great shape. The edge has a convex grind that can be maintained by [stropping](/en/ct/stropping.htm) it.

The handle is made from G10. This is an incredibly strong composite material. It feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold conditions.

The Bark River Bravo EDC comes with a leather belt sheath. You can carry the sheath both horizontally and vertically. You can even hang it from your MOLLE webbing with a loose MOLLE lock/clip. 

Bark River Knives makes all of its knives almost entirely by hand. This means that each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials, a knife may differ from the photos. The knife you receive may therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
